The formula
This calculator uses (likes + comments + shares) ÷ views × 100.
TikTok shows most videos to people who don’t follow you, so views are a fairer denominator than followers. Followers are not used in this formula.
Worked example
A video with 12,000 views, 900 likes, 45 comments and 60 shares: (900 + 45 + 60) ÷ 12,000 × 100 = 8.4%.

Add up the interactions and divide by the audience figure, then multiply by 100. Here that is (likes + comments + shares) ÷ views × 100.
Most TikTok views come from the For You feed rather than followers. Dividing by views measures how people who actually saw the video responded, and stops a viral video from producing a meaningless figure.
