Use the Wahlu command line tool

Install the wahlu command, sign in with an API key, and run drafts and schedules from your terminal.

Updated

The Wahlu CLI lets you use the Wahlu API from your terminal. It's handy for scripts and for coding agents.

Install it

You need Node.js 20 or later.

  1. Install the tool:

    npm install --global @wahlu/cli

  2. Make an API key in Wahlu. See Get started with the Wahlu API.

  3. Put the key in your shell, not in a file you share:

    export WAHLU_API_KEY=your-key

  4. Check it works:

    wahlu auth status

The CLI only reads your key from WAHLU_API_KEY. There is no API key flag. Keep the key in your shell's secret store so it stays out of shared files.

What it can do

Each command matches one API call. For example:

  • wahlu targets list --brand BRAND_ID lists where you can post.
  • wahlu media upload adds a photo or video.
  • wahlu drafts create makes a draft.
  • wahlu drafts preflight checks a draft without posting it.
  • wahlu schedules create schedules a post.

Run wahlu --help, or wahlu <group> --help, to see every command and option.
