Each size comes from the platform’s own help centre, ads guide or developer documentation, and links to that page. All sources were checked on 24 September 2026.
Where a platform publishes a ratio, maximum width or display size instead of exact pixels, the size is marked “Calculated from” and the note explains how. Rows marked Video are listed for reference; the resizer creates images.
Platforms change their specifications without notice. If a size matters for a campaign, open the source before you post.
Questions about image sizes
Facebook says a Page cover photo loads fastest as an sRGB JPG that's 851 × 315 px and under 100 KB. It must be at least 400 × 150 px. Computers show it at 16:9 and phones at 2.4:1, and the profile picture covers part of the left side, so keep important details near the centre.
Meta recommends a 4:5 image at 1440 × 1800 px for the feed, at least 600 px wide. Link previews use a 1.91:1 image, ideally 1200 × 630 px.
Upload a square image at 320 × 320 px. Facebook crops it to a circle and shows it at 176 × 176 px on computers and 196 × 196 px on smartphones.
