Each size comes from the platform’s own help centre, ads guide or developer documentation, and links to that page. All sources were checked on 24 September 2026.
Where a platform publishes a ratio, maximum width or display size instead of exact pixels, the size is marked “Calculated from” and the note explains how. Rows marked Video are listed for reference; the resizer creates images.
Platforms change their specifications without notice. If a size matters for a campaign, open the source before you post.
Questions about image sizes
X's image ad specifications give 1200 × 1200 px for square (1:1) and 1200 × 628 px for landscape (1.91:1), as a PNG or JPEG up to 5 MB. X publishes no separate size for ordinary posts, so these are the stated sizes to work from.
1500 × 500 px, a 3:1 shape. Up to 60 px at the top and bottom may be cropped on some screens, so keep text and logos near the middle.
400 × 400 px, as a JPEG, GIF or PNG up to 2 MB. It is shown as a circle, so keep the subject centred.
