- TikTok also accepts horizontal 16:9 video (at least 960 × 540 px) and square 1:1 video (at least 640 × 640 px), but recommends vertical.
- TikTok doesn't publish a profile photo size for ordinary accounts. Its ads use a 98 × 98 px square profile image.

Each size comes from the platform’s own help centre, ads guide or developer documentation, and links to that page. All sources were checked on 24 September 2026.
Where a platform publishes a ratio, maximum width or display size instead of exact pixels, the size is marked “Calculated from” and the note explains how. Rows marked Video are listed for reference; the resizer creates images.
Platforms change their specifications without notice. If a size matters for a campaign, open the source before you post.
Questions about image sizes
TikTok recommends vertical 9:16 video of at least 540 × 960 px. 1080 × 1920 px is the same shape at full HD. Horizontal 16:9 and square 1:1 video are also accepted.
TikTok's developer documentation caps photos at 1080p, as JPEG or WebP files up to 20 MB each. A 1080 × 1920 px image fills the vertical screen.
TikTok's upload API accepts video from 360 to 4096 px on each side, so a vertical 4K file at 2160 × 3840 px is within range.
