Reconnect an account
When an account's link to Wahlu stops working or is about to expire, reconnect it in a few clicks.
Updated
Posts can't go out to an account while its link is broken. Reconnecting fixes it.
How you know
- The account shows Reconnect now or Expired in red.
- It shows a count down, like 3d left.
- Your Overview page says Reconnect and the account name, under Needs attention.
- A failed post in History has a Reconnect button.
- You get an email or alert. Wahlu warns you 14, 7, 3 and 1 days before a link ends.
Reconnect
- Click Reconnect on the Overview page or in History. Or go to Accounts in the brand menu. Click the account, then click Reconnect.
- A new tab opens. Sign in to the network.
- Allow every permission it asks for.
- You see Connected. Click Done. If you have posts coming up, Wahlu asks if it should add the account to them first.
Still not working?
- Sign in to the right account. TikTok, Facebook and X use whatever account you're signed in to. Check it first.
- Instagram: make sure it's a Business or Creator account.
- Facebook: make sure you still manage the Page, with full control. See Fix Facebook Page problems.
- YouTube: choose the Google account or Brand Account that owns your channel. If Wahlu says the account has no channel, connect again and pick the other one.
- Remove and add it again. In Accounts in the brand menu, click the account, then Disconnect. Then click Connect or Add another.
Questions
- Why do accounts need reconnecting?
- Networks end an app's access after a while, or when you change your password or permissions. Reconnecting gives Wahlu fresh access.
- Will I lose my scheduled posts?
- No. Your posts stay. Once you reconnect, they can go out again.
- I'm not the owner. What do I do?
- Only the workspace owner can reconnect accounts. Wahlu shows Ask a workspace admin to reconnect it.
