TikTok privacy and settings

TikTok asks you a few things before each post. You set them in the post editor.

Choose who can see it

1. In the post editor, open More options, then TikTok options.
2. Under Who can see this post, choose from the options TikTok allows for your account.
3. Turn Allow comments on or off. For videos, also set Allow duets and Allow stitches.
4. Tick AI-generated content if AI made the post. TikTok then adds a label.

Mark brand or paid posts

Turn on Disclose post content if the post promotes something.

• Your brand: you promote your own business. TikTok labels it Promotional content.
• Branded content: someone paid you or gave you something. TikTok labels it Paid partnership.

Branded content can't be set to Only me.

My post went out as private

History may say Published privately. That means TikTok posted it, but only you can see it.

1. Open the post in the TikTok app.
2. Tap the … button, then Privacy settings.
3. If TikTok allows it, change who can see it to Everyone.

TikTok may limit this while Wahlu's app review is still open. If you cannot change it, post through TikTok itself.

TikTok says Wahlu is still in review

TikTok checks every app that posts for you. Until TikTok finishes checking Wahlu, it limits where Wahlu can post. Some posts may fail, or go out as Only me.

This isn't a problem with your account. You don't need to change anything. Email us if a post you need fails, and we will help.

Other TikTok tips

• Check you're signed in to the right TikTok account before you connect it.
• TikTok limits how many posts you make in a day. If you hit the limit, wait and try later.
• The longest video you can post depends on your TikTok account. Wahlu checks the limit TikTok returns.
