Post to Pinterest

You can connect a Pinterest business account to a brand and post Pins from Wahlu. Scheduling works the same as for your other accounts.

Connect your Pinterest account

1. Open your brand and click Accounts in the brand menu.
2. Click + Connect next to Pinterest.
3. A new tab opens on Pinterest. Sign in if it asks, then click Give access.
4. You see Connected and your account name. Click Done.

Only the workspace owner can connect or remove accounts.

Use a business account

Wahlu connects Pinterest business accounts only. If you connect a personal account, Wahlu says so and saves nothing.

To switch, open Pinterest's settings and change to a free business account. Then connect again.

Post a Pin

1. Click New post.
2. Add an image or a video. Every Pin needs one.
3. Under Where should it go?, pick your Pinterest account.
4. Write your post. This is the Pin's description.
5. Open Pinterest options and choose a Board.
6. Add a title, link and alt text if you like.
7. Pick Post now or Schedule, then click it.

Pinterest options

You must choose a board. The rest is optional.

• Board is where the Pin goes. Wahlu loads your boards from Pinterest. No boards yet? Make one on Pinterest, then come back.
• Section puts the Pin in a section of that board.
• Title shows above the Pin. It can be up to 100 characters.
• Link is the page people visit when they tap the Pin. Use a full address that starts with https://.
• Alt text describes the image for people using screen readers.

What you can post

The description can be up to 800 characters. WebP and GIF images don't work on Pinterest.

Only Pins you choose

Pinterest asks that a person chooses each Pin. So Wahlu posts to Pinterest only when you schedule a post or click Post now.

• Looping queues can't post to Pinterest. You can't add a Pinterest account to one.
• Autopilot and flows never post to Pinterest.
• Each post goes to one Pinterest account.

How many Pins you can send

• Your plan's limits apply, as for your other accounts.
• Each account can get up to 50 Pins from Wahlu in a day.

Post to Pinterest from your AI agent

Your AI agent, the API and the CLI can post to Pinterest too. The same rules and limits apply. Your agent can read your boards and ask which one to use. It can add a title, a link and alt text. Confirm each Pin: Pinterest only allows Pins you choose.

If you run the Wahlu CLI or MCP server on your own computer, update it first. You need CLI 0.10.0 or later, or MCP server 0.17.0 or later. Older versions show an error once a brand has a Pinterest account.

If a Pin fails

• Connection ended. Reconnect your account.
• Board not found. The board may have been deleted. Choose another board and try again.
• Pinterest didn't let Wahlu post. Check it is a business account and that you own the board. Then reconnect.
• Video refused. Check the file type, size and length, then try again.

Disconnect your account

1. Open Accounts and click your Pinterest account.
2. Click Disconnect, then confirm.

Wahlu deletes what it saved about the account. Pinterest has no way for apps to give up their access. So also remove Wahlu in your Pinterest settings, under Apps.
