Post to Threads

You can connect your Threads profile to a brand and post to Threads from Wahlu. This is Meta's Threads app. Scheduling works the same as for your other accounts.

Connect your Threads profile

1. Open your brand and click Accounts in the brand menu.
2. Click + Connect next to Threads.
3. A new tab opens on Threads. Sign in to the profile you want, then allow what Wahlu asks for.
4. You see Connected and your profile name. Click Done.

Threads links the profile you're signed in to. If you have more than one, check which one is signed in first.

Allow every permission Threads asks for. Wahlu needs the reply permission to post parts and a follow-up reply.

Only the workspace owner can connect or remove accounts.

Post to Threads

1. Click New post.
2. Under Where should it go?, pick your Threads profile.
3. Write your post. Add photos or a video if you like.
4. Open Threads options to choose who can reply, add a topic tag or add more parts.
5. Pick Post now or Schedule, then click it.

Wahlu picks the kind of post from what you add:

• No photos or videos: a text post.
• One photo or one video: a photo or video post.
• 2 to 20 photos or videos: a carousel. You can mix photos and videos.

Threads options

All of these are optional.

• Who can reply sets who may reply to your post: Anyone, Your followers, Profiles you follow or Mentioned profiles only.
• Topic tag adds one topic to your post, like Coffee. It can be up to 50 characters, with no full stops or ampersands. Type it without the #.
• Add to thread adds up to 9 more parts, so 10 in all. Each part is text only and is posted as a reply to the one before.
• Follow-up reply is one reply posted right after your post goes live. Use it for a link or a call to action.

If Wahlu says Reconnect Threads to enable thread chains, click Reconnect Threads and allow every permission.

What you can post

The character counter in Wahlu counts the way Threads does. The same limit applies to each extra part and to the follow-up reply.

How many posts you can send

• Your plan's limits apply, as for your other accounts.
• Threads allows each profile 250 posts from apps in 24 hours.
• Extra parts and follow-up replies are replies on Threads. Threads allows up to 1,000 replies a day.

See how your posts did

On paid plans, Insights shows your followers and views for the last 28 days. It also shows views, likes, replies, reposts and quotes for your latest posts from Wahlu. See Insights.

If a post fails

• Connection ended. Reconnect your account.
• Too many links. Threads allows up to 5 links in a post. Remove some and try again.
• Photo or video refused. Check the file type, size and length, then try again.
• A part or the follow-up reply failed. Your main post stays live. History shows which part failed.

Disconnect your profile

1. Open Accounts and click the red × next to your Threads profile.
2. Click Disconnect.
